Amber R - 2025 Client Highlight of The Year

Amber, an Operating Room nurse, joined Pittsburgh FIT at 34 with a clear sense of purpose. She had experienced a family history of preventable disease and faced a personal prediabetes scare, which highlighted the importance of taking proactive steps toward her health. Before joining, Amber had dabbled in running and solo workouts, but she longed for structure, guidance, and a supportive community to help her stay consistent and achieve meaningful results.

Initial Goals

Amber’s primary objectives were to lose 45 pounds of fat, improve her overall energy, and establish a consistent fitness routine. She also aimed to strengthen her body, enhance her confidence, and create sustainable nutrition habits that would support long-term wellness without requiring drastic lifestyle changes.

Spoiler Alert: She did it! All of it!

Approach and Support

Amber’s success was built on a combination of personalized coaching, structured training, and community engagement:

  • One-on-one personal training with Coach Corey, providing guidance, accountability, and tailored programming
  • Nutrition coaching with Heather for three months, emphasizing small, manageable changes that fit her lifestyle
  • Regular participation in 2-3 group classes per week when her schedule allowed
  • Engagement in community events to stay motivated and connected

Achievements and Results

From the very beginning, Amber’s commitment has been unwavering. She achieved a 17-pound fat loss in just three months, and her visceral fat levels decreased from 19 to 14, reflecting significant improvements in health and metabolic function.

Beyond the numbers, Amber has gained strength, endurance, and mobility, and she reports higher energy levels, less fatigue, and reduced bloating. And as another major accomplishment, she bought (and immediately started renovating) home without losing steam in her health and fitness!

Her consistency is remarkable, and no matter how busy life or work becomes, she never misses her personal training sessions and continues to engage actively in group classes, fitness challenges, and she even completed her first Half HYROX this past summer.

Ongoing Progress and Evolving Goals

Amber’s journey is far from over. Her 2026 goals include attending classes more regularly while continuing to strengthen her body and mind.

Fitness for Amber is not just about weight loss or performance. It is about cultivating confidence, agency and spirituality, and balance in her life. She embodies the idea that sustainable progress comes from consistency, support, and commitment.

Amber’s story proves that lasting health and transformation are possible when one combines guidance, community, and dedication.

Her radiant energy and confident presence reflect the power of disciplined, intentional action. She serves as an inspiration to anyone striving to make meaningful, long-term changes in their health and wellness.
