What Was Her Initial Goal?

When Alysabeth joined Pittsburgh FIT, she wanted to lose body fat, feel better in her body, and build healthier eating habits that actually fit her life.

Even though she’d been a vegetarian since childhood and had cooked for herself from a very young age, her weight spiked in her mid-20s. She knew she needed a more balanced way to fuel her very full schedule—teaching all day, adventuring on the weekends, and traveling whenever she could.

Most of all, she wanted confidence. Confidence in knowing what to eat, how to eat, and how to take care of her body without falling into old habits or confusing food rules.

She was ready to take charge of her health, her energy, and her long-term wellbeing.

The Steps She Took to Reach Her Goal

Alysabeth began nutrition coaching with Coach Heather and committed to building a healthier, more sustainable routine—one step at a time.

She focused on:

  • Increasing protein
  • Boosting daily steps
  • Drinking more water
  • Practicing intentional fasting
  • Tackling the mindset piece around food

One of her biggest challenges was sugar cravings. But as she added more nutrients and balanced her meals, those cravings dropped dramatically. She learned how to fuel her body in a way that helped her feel full, steady, and energized, not drained.

She also put in meaningful work around releasing the unhelpful food rules she had carried for years.

With a demanding schedule filled with students, lessons, and constant activity, having tools to recharge and stay energized became a game changer.

Not only is Alysabeth eating in a way that works for her life, she feels better, more stable, and more confident than she has in years.

What Has She Gained?

  • • A calmer, more confident relationship with food
  • • Steadier energy for long school days and weekend adventures
  • • A way of eating that feels supportive, not restrictive

What Is Her New Goal?

Now, Alysabeth is excited to keep expanding her skills. She’s practicing periodic 24-hour fasts, exploring new cooking techniques, and building even more confidence in the kitchen.

She’s also searching for her dream home here in Pittsburgh, a place where she can keep planning new trips, new experiences, and new adventures.
