As June wraps up, we’re feeling an incredible mix of gratitude and energy. Pride Month reminded us what it means to show up fully—as ourselves, for each other, and for something bigger. From dancing in the streets at Pittsburgh Pride to our full-house community workout, we’re still glowing from the joy, connection, and support we felt all month long. Thank you for being part of that.
Now, we roll that energy right into July—sunny-ish skies (at least for us lol), summer sweat, and shared strength.
This Thursday, July 4th, we’re hosting a special holiday schedule with just 8AM & 9AM classes, followed by a laid-back barbecue social for our members.
On the workout floor, we’ll be honoring a fallen hero with “Schmalls,” a CrossFit Hero WOD.
Hero workouts (aka fitness benchmarks) are tough by design. They’re not just about fitness—they’re a way to honor the lives and sacrifices of service members who gave everything. Each rep becomes a small act of remembrance, resilience, and respect.
This Independence Day, we honor a local Pittsburgher, U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Justin E. Schmalstieg aka Schmalls, for his strength, selflessness, and service
So whether you’re here to sweat, socialize, or simply show up—come spend part of your Fourth with your Pittsburgh FIT family.
Let’s keep building a summer full of purpose, connection, and courage—one workout, one BBQ plate, and one rep at a time..
