If you have missed the 1-rep-max clinics, don’t you worry! They are coming back!
The next 1RM clinic will feature the deadlift, to test how much weight you can pull from the floor.
During this clinic we will warm-up specifically for the deadlift, briefly go over the actual movement, talk about building strategy, then execute a new 1RM!
During the strategy portion, you will learn how to efficiently progress in weight and in reps to build to your 1RM in a manner that will help you lift the most weight without doing too many or too few reps with too heavy or too light of weight. The strategy can be applied to any lift, therefore making it possible for you to make smarter weight decisions with all your other lifts in class or on your own.
After talking strategy, we will then move on to lifting heavy. During this time, you will be coached on not only the movement but how to jump in weight and how much rest you should be taking between attempts.
Please know, this is not a beginner class. This clinic is designed for people who have at least 6 months of experience or more.
Please grab a coach and ask if this is right for you, because exceptions could be made. Base understanding of the movement is more ideal before maxing out.
