Our classes are amazing at helping us build a good strength and conditioning base. They help us gain general physical preparedness by being “strong enough” (see my last article HERE) and definitely increase our baseline health numbers. But what if you have a specific goal? How do you get there? You guessed it. Accessory Training Sessions.Accessory training helps fill the gaps of your current training regimen, and makes it easier for you to complete more complex movements efficiently, with better form or with more confidence. They help you meet your training goals by facilitating strength, stability, consistency and confidence in movement. Make sense? Simply put, accessory movements make you a better, more resilient athlete!
Think about it this way. You’re working on getting your first pull-up. You don’t just hang from the bar and try to pull yourself up to the bar, do you? No! You do curls, rows, hangs and holds. You build strength in your biceps, your shoulders, your chest and your grip. These movements build strength, stability and confidence, each day getting you closer to that pull-up.
We can build accessory programs to help you meet any goal that you might have, and it doesn’t need to be a strength-based goal. Some of us want to lose weight, some of us want to be in better cardiovascular condition. Accessory sessions don’t have to take forever, either. Because we see you moving in class, we know what your strengths and weaknesses are. We know how to help you squat more, row bike or run faster, deadlift heavier or get your first muscle up. All you have to do is ask.
Fill in the gaps in your strength and conditioning. CLICK HERE to Book a Goal Setting session to talk to a coach today about custom accessory programming and how we can help you asap!
