Snatches and Dubs!

It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog.

Normally, we create workouts that are relatively simple and easy to execute. We call these workouts 'training' focus. This makes you sore. With training workouts, we create a biological change, which means your muscles get used, they sustain slight damage, and they heal stronger than they were before. Your muscles get bigger, longer and stronger.

Today's workout is more of a skill development piece. Will you still be sore? Probably. But our focus for today is to introduce complicated multi-joint movements that require coordination and stability.

What we're doing with today's workout of snatches, jump rope, and rowing is increasing your neurological efficiency. We are using this opportunity to improve how well your body can move without making it bigger. You don't have to be bigger to be stronger.

Join us in class for some snatches, double unders (jump rope), and some rowing!

Do we expect you to be perfect at these right away? Not a chance. All we ask is that you try.

Watch the video, come in to class, and let's have some fun!
