Shoulder Pain Isn't the End!

It is extremely difficult to focus on anything else once shoulder pain strikes. The pain can come on suddenly from an acute injury or trauma or you could just wake up one day with pain not knowing where it came from. But that is not something to be alarmed by. Everyone experiences aches and pain and even injuries from time to time. That's normal.The first step to rehab is to accept that you have pain and find the best route and methods to fix it. The shoulder joint is the most mobile joint in the entire animal kingdom making it susceptible to wear and tear but it also means it can be easily fixed without the use of invasive surgeries. The good news is you can fix it through movement and exercise. The shoulder is comprised of 4 main stabilizer muscles called the rotator cuff. These are not the muscles that help to move the shoulder around. Instead the scapula and the thoracic spine help aid in its movement and keep the joint tight and healthy. When rehabbing a shoulder the 2 key focuses are strengthening the stabilizers of the rotator cuff and making sure the scapula and thoracic spine move in unison with these tiny muscles. If anything becomes off potential injury can arise.When it comes to what exercises are right for you to help rehab or even prehab a potential shoulder injury variety is the key. If you keep the body guessing, change and adaptation occur rapidly. There is no one size fits all cure.The good news is through proper administration of exercise (form over weight) and choosing a good routine, we can help you get that shoulder pain free.The body is any amazing thing and you can experiment on it through movement finding what exercises or movement makes it feel better and what doesn't necessarily.
