You walk in the door, it’s your first time at Pittsburgh FIT, you have never tried group trainingclasses before, and you see the board and don’t recognize a single exercise on the board. The only thingyou recognize is jump roping and push-ups. You haven’t completed a full push-up in 10 years andhaven’t jumped rope since grade school. You start to freak out internally and start to reconsider yourdecision on joining the class. You get to thinking that you are not in shape enough to complete thewarm-up. Don’t worry. Everything that you see on the white board can be modified to meet you whereyou are now.Do not ever feel discouraged by having to scale/modify a movement, be where you are now.Stay in your own lane. Everyone in this gym started somewhere and are continuing to grow everyworkout. No one, not even the coaches are perfect at everything, we are all on our own fitness journey. You must keep in mind that once you walk in the door, you have left your ego outside and need to focuson what you can do to better yourself. The person next to you may be knocking out double unders(when the jump rope goes around your body twice) like it’s nothing, but you can seem to jump the ropenormally 3 times in a row. What you don’t see is that it took that individual 3 years to be able to knockout sets of 50 double unders. Be patient with yourself and trust the process. Not a member yet and don’t know where to start?Try our No-Sweat Intro! This FREE 20 minute consultation includes a tour of our amazing facility, a body composition scan, and a goal setting session to help you become the best you can be!Click the link below to schedule an appointment NOW!
