Have you been enjoying the most recent addition to our workout regime in class?! Of course I am referring to all the bench press we have been doing lately. I think it is only right that there should be a 1RM clinic for the newest addition. SATURDAY DEC 11th at 7AM The next 1RM clinic will feature the bench press, to test how much weight you can press away from your body. During this clinic we will warm-up specifically for the bench press, go over the actual movement, talk about building strategy, then execute a new 1RM. Due to this being a newer movement for our classes, there will be extra explanation on how to properly execute the movement. During the strategy portion, you will learn how to efficiently progress in weight and in reps to build to your 1RM in a manner that will help you lift the most weight without doing too many or too few reps with too heavy or too light of weight. The strategy can be applied to any lift, therefore making it possible for you to make smarter weight decisions with all your other lifts in class or on your own. After talking strategy, we will then move on to lifting heavy. During this time, you will be coached on not only the movement but how to jump in weight and how much rest you should be taking between attempts. Please know, this is not a beginner class. This clinic is designed for people who have at least 6 months of experience or more. Grab me or another a coach and ask if this is right for you!
